🥉 2031 - 3rd Place at Evolution Basketball Nationals

Our West Irving Basketball Summer National Team closed out the season with a 3rd-place finish at the Evolution Basketball National Tournament, competing in a field that included some of the strongest programs in the region and country.

🏆 1st — Blueprint Jr. 3SSB / All Ohio EYBL
🥈 2nd — Team Herro EYBL
🥉 3rd — West Irving Basketball

Our group put together a strong tournament behind contributions from:

Feranmi Ajijola
Patrick “Le’Shun” Freelon
Sylas Medina
Aavash Kaini
Brandon Orlow
Blake Bowman
Zach Heyne
Myles Parker
Quinten Lee
Mason Medema
Jackson Frey

Unfortunately, we lost two starters to injury before championship day. Shorthanded against a talented Team Herro EYBL team, we weren’t able to generate enough offensively to advance to the championship game.

That doesn’t take away from what this group accomplished.

Finishing 3rd at Nationals, competing against established EYBL and Jr. 3SSB programs, and continuing to battle through adversity was a strong way to close our summer national season.

Proud of the way these players represented West Irving Basketball.

Smart. Tough. Relentless.
